Every client receives a simple “get to know you as a couple” questionnaire once we move forward in their wedding journey. One thing I noticed and quickly bonded with Alexa and Justin was that they LOVE exploring New Orleans restaurants and LOVE simple date nights such as the movies!
Meeting at law school, their story together quickly began, leading them here — to their engagement!
“My favorite restaurant in the City is Peche in the Central Business District in New Orleans. Justin had promised me on the weekend that he proposed that we would go on that Saturday to look at rings and then go have dinner at Peche. When Saturday rolled around, he said we would have to postpone going to look at rings because he scheduled a golf outing. Little did I know he was headed to pick up the engagement ring and was planning to propose before taking me to dinner. “
“Once Justin got back, I informed him that I was going to invite some of our friends to dinner and to come to the house for drinks beforehand. Justin pled with me to just have our friends meet us after dinner! As I went back into the bedroom to finish my makeup, Justin called for me to come out to the back porch to have some wine that we agreed would only be opened for special occasions. Thinking that this was just an ordinary day, I did not want him to waste a nice bottle so I told him I would be fine drinking some wine that was already in our fridge. Somehow, he managed to get me out on the back porch where I was less than enthusiastic about watching him open up and waste a nice bottle of wine on what I thought was just another Saturday. After opening the bottle of wine and pouring me a glass, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.”
” I think it was the first time in my life that I was speechless…which is very rare! I of course said “YES!”. We did make it to Peche eventually, although this time as an engaged couple!”
