Miranda and Karl met several years ago through work. Their love story has unfolded ever since! “He secretly arranged for our out of town family and friends to come to one of our favorite dinner spots. He was nervous, and I’d never seen him like that before so I knew something was up. As soon as everyone arrived, he gave a speech thanking everyone for coming and talked about the last five years and how happy I’ve made him. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him with his grandmothers ring. It was great to have everyone there to celebrate with us. We even had my sister on FaceTime. “
The Perfect Location
When starting to brainstorm for engagement session locations, I always ask the couple first to start brainstorming on what represents or is sentimental to them. This always makes for more personable and memorable engagement portraits when the couple has a connection to their location. Miranda and Karl chose their wedding venue, the Lake House Reception Center. “We love the gorgeous southern style house with the wrap around porch and the beauty of the lake as a backdrop. “
Their Wedding Day Ahead
April can’t come soon enough for these two! This is their month on when they will say “I do”! The ceremony will take place at sunset sunset overlooking the lake. “It will be a small ceremony with our closest family and friends. We will be reading our own vows and asked one of our friends to be the officiant.”
