Lydia and Josh got married at St. John the Evangelist Church in Prairieville, Louisiana, the day after Thanksgiving. It was the ideal Fall day. There was so much to be thankful for, they were getting married after all!
The Big Day
The day began with an early start for the ladies with hair, makeup, breakfast and of course mimosas!! As they got pampered, they chatted with excitement about the day. The guys started out with lunch, guy time and getting ready. “Our day was spent with lots of laughs and warm wishes from our best friends who were standing by our sides, sharing this day with us. The entire day was completely relaxed and entirely STRESS FREE. We did not have a thing to worry about and were just so excited to be getting married!”
The ceremony was just as beautiful as the day was perfect. The church was filled with graceful music, family and friends. Lydia and Josh were moved by the priests promising message as they made their commitment to one another. “We had been dreaming of this day for so long and now it was finally happening!”
From there, Lydia, Josh and their guests got into party mode! “The night was spent talking, laughing, hugging, kissing, dancing, and enjoying the celebration with all of the wonderful family and friends in our lives”
“One of my favorite details about the day was doing a first look with my dad. I had been hiding my dress from him for almost an entire year because I wanted to have this special moment with him. My dad is one of the most important men in my life, and I am incredibly lucky to have such a kind, hard-working, and loving father. The first look was everything I thought it would be, and I am so glad that we were able to capture this moment”
Sweet Advice From One Couple To Another
“My advice to future couples on their wedding day would be to relax and take time to be in the moment and remember why you are there. You’ve been waiting for this day for so long and it goes by so fast. Let yourself enjoy every second of the day and don’t worry about the small details. The most important thing is that you are there to marry the love of your life. Everything else will fall into place”
