Jamie and Jared met in college at Southeastern. Jamie was the Sweetheart of Jared’s fraternity and a mutual friend of theirs knew something could become of these two wonderful people. They were ultimately introduced to each other by their mutual friend at a Greek event. Since then, their story has been unfolding together day by day, year by year onto their wedding planning adventure!
A proposal to remember.
“Jared made reservations for Rips on the Lake on the Mandeville Lakefront for a “date night”. When we got out of the car we walked over to the lakefront by the water. Next thing I know he’s saying cute things and gets down on one knee and proposes. He even got a secret photographer to capture the special moment! After getting myself together (wiping the happy tears away), we walk across the street to the restaurant. When we walked in, I see a huge table with flowers and both of our families there waiting to
congratulate us. Double whammy!”
A special spot for them.
When couples and I come to the planning stage for the engagement session, I always ask personal things as far as; what do you enjoy doing together, where do you two hang out the most, what scenery do you two love, etc. This allows them to brainstorm, to brainstorm what represents them as couple. When our planning started for Jamie and Jared’s engagement session, Jamie knew instantly where they needed to go! They chose the Botanical Gardens in New Orleans because “I thought it was different. I wanted something different than just the outskirts of City Park. I love the buildings and structures inside the Botanical Gardens. The greenhouse is my favorite!”
